A recent gift of $9,000 from the Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation was awarded to Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) and the Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC) to support critical services .
Since its inception in 2011, the Bright Ideas Community Enrichment Fund program has awarded over $1.9 million dollars through 159 grants to 76 different non-profit organizations in Wapello County.
Since 2004, when the program was developed, nearly $300,000 has been provided in scholarship support to students in southeast Iowa.
