Scholarship recipients for the 2013-2014 school year came together to celebrate during the recent Laboratory Control Ltd. Health Career Scholarship Recipient Reception.  The reception, which was held in the newly completed Ottumwa Leadership Academy building, provided a wonderful opportunity for students to meet each other, Legacy Foundation board members and Scholarship Selection Committee members.  Keynote speaker, Dr. Ted Haas provided participants with great insight into the benefits of having a health career in Southeast Iowa and offered the following words of wisdom, “No matter what health field you decide on, remember you are part of a team, and each team member is important”.

The reception was a fantastic event that gives us a rare opportunity get these busy students, who are attending colleges and universities throughout the United States, into one room…if only for a short time!  We wish all of our scholarships winners the very best of luck in the upcoming school year, we know you will make us proud!
