Ottumwa Leadership Academy Celebrates 6th Graduation

Ottumwa Leadership Academy celebrates its 6th year with a graduation ceremony Thursday, June 7, 2018.  In order for the participants to graduate from the program they were required to attend a full-day session one day per month, participate in a team project, and attend one community meeting.

The graduates from Ottumwa Leadership Academy include: Michele Bremer, Krista Carter, Kari Carter-Adamson, Cara Crall, Rebecca Ellingson, Andy Fuller, Austin Jones, DeJanee Kletke, Rachel Kooistra, Mendy McAdams, Brent Moughler, Bianca Myers, Cathy Pringle-Maletta, Christian Ray, Ashleigh Richmond, Garrett Ross, Cole Rushing, Joe Schulz, John Van Utrecht, Melyssa Vanberburg, and Jody Williams.  The Dean for the 2018 class was Mark Hanson.

Ottumwa Leadership Academy is a 10-month, tuition-based academy that provides participants with an in-depth overview of Ottumwa and Wapello County with targeted leadership development strategies and skill development. With the mission to develop effective leaders for the betterment of our community, the organization strives to educate, equip, encourage and engage its participants in civic and community service and leadership.
