ORLF Seeks Grant Applications

Two different grant opportunities from the Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation will open on February 1, 2020. The Bright ideas Community Enrichment FundBright ideas Community Enrichment Fund is open to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating and/or providing services in Wapello County. The Bright Ideas grants are competitive, single year awards that range from $2,500 to $30,000; priority is given to programs and projects that will have a positive impact on area residents.

The Legacy Youth Alliance grant cycle is also opening on February 1, 2020, and is a youth-helping-youth program. The Legacy Youth Alliance members look to support youth-led projects or youth-serving programs with grant awards ranging from $500 to $2,500.

Completed applications for both grant opportunities must be submitted online before midnight, February 29, 2020, to be considered for funding. The application materials are available under the FOR GRANTEES & SCHOLARS tab.

Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a charitable project with a qualified fiscal sponsor. For more specific questions concerning eligibility, please contact Amy Nossaman, Grants Program Manager.
