Nonprofit Summit Encourages Collaboration

Finding amazing speakers that are both informative and entertaining can be a challenge but one that  was met yet again last week at the 3rd Annual Southeast Iowa Nonprofit Summit.  Over 150 individuals from across the state benefitted from these experts in the field.   Breakout session topics included social media, estate planning, risk management, and organization culture among many others.  New to the event this year was a networking workshop held during lunch and a social hour held at the end of the day where participants could try out their newly acquired networking skills.  Paul Thelen with the Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center was the keynote speaker for the day and encouraged the group to learn from one another as they moved through the day.  Special thanks to our partnering sponsors and co-collaborators; Iowa State University Extension & Outreach, United Way of Wapello County, TD & T CPA’s and Advisors and Wapello County Foundation, for their support of this fantastic event.
