Market on Main made its re-launch debut at Ladies Night Out on Friday, April 24th to hundreds and hundreds of ladies who loved the new look and the new merchants who already have their booths open and those who were not yet opened but had samples available for tasting.  For those that have not yet visited the Market, you can look forward to a new look, new logo, new demonstration kitchen, new bar,  new merchants, new artist in residence program and a new Executive Director.   We are very pleased and excited to announce that David Camphouse has been named as the new Executive Director and will be starting Market duties on May 7th, 2015.  David received his BS in Plant and Soil Science at Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) and his MFA in Creative Writing at University of Wisconsin (Madison).  David worked most recently at Indian Hills Community College in the Workforce Investment Program (WIA) and IowaWorks programs.  Prior to that, David was at John Wood Community College for several years as a manager within the Careers & Technology Programs and Coordinator of Local Food Programs.  David is excited to start this new journey in his career and has many innovative and creative ideas in store for the Market.  Stop down and introduce yourself and check out the Market on Main but don’t forget that the Market has new hours of operation which include Tuesday thru Friday 11 – 7 and Saturday 8 – 4.  We would also like to say a special thank you to all the volunteers, contractors, merchants and staff that have helped to get the Market up and running.  We hope you come visit often and enjoy all that it has to offer!
