Bright Ideas Grant Cycle Now Open!

Our Bright Ideas Community Enrichment Fund grant cycle is now open.   Since its inception in 2011, this program has awarded $888,000 in grants to not-for-profits providing services in Wapello County.  Funded projects have encompassed the areas of arts & culture, education, health, public safety, social services, animal welfare, housing & shelter,  youth development, recreation & sports and community vitality.

“This will be our final grant round for 2013,”  stated Kelly Genners, Legacy Foundation director of community leadership and grant-making.  “I would encourage our non-profit organizations to look into the program and not miss out on an opportunity that could make a significant difference to their year.”

Applying organizations must be an IRS designated 501(c)3 not-for-profit providing services in Wapello County.  Grant requests are allowable up to $30,000.  Applicants must complete and submit the online application by midnight on October 15, 2013 to be eligible for consideration.
